EK-Velocity sTR4 is the 3rd generation of CPU water blocks that are tailor-made for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. They come with a pre-assembled, error-preventing mounting mechanism. The primary goal in designing the new EK-Velocity sTR4 water block was to cover the entire IHS of HEDT AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors and to improve performance over the previous generation of sTR4 water blocks.
Every EK-Velocity sTR4 water block comes with a precisely machined copper base (sometimes referred to as ‘cold plate’) which is made from purest copper available on the market and is treated with nickel electroplating.
The result is a perfect installation which results in optimal performance every time. This also means the water block is out of the box compatible with AMD’s server type Socket SP3 motherboards. With such a mounting solution, the user does not need to remove the motherboard from the case and so has a hassle-free installation procedure of the new CPU.
You can easily remove the LED strip cover which is mounted with two screws to replace the LED strip with some other type of LED strip.

The EK-Quantum Magnitude is the new ultimate bespoke CPU water block from EK® that brings the highest cooling performance with the lowest possible flow restriction. The 115x version of the water block is using a specific combination of flow distribution insert, mounting pressure, and cold plate geometry tailored for the IHS and die layout of Intel® 115x socket processors.

Different from any mounting structure used by other water blocks that are usually black and mundane plates, the design accentuates an integrated X-shaped, three-dimensional frame with premium finishes that firmly cradles the main body in place while the screws are morphed into a sophisticated design detail.

A CNC machined solid brass insert made it possible to significantly enlarge and optimize the cooling engine. Compared to previous generations of water blocks, the fin array has a 50% bigger surface area, all contained in a smaller footprint to ensure maximum compatibility even with mITX motherboards. The copper cold plate uses 0.40mm wide microchannels and 0.26mm thick microfins to maximize the thermal transfer with minimal flow restriction.

The Magnitude is supplied with an additional, thicker jet plate. If the user concludes that his CPU IHS is exceptionally concave (poor thermal paste spread after mounting), the curvature of the water block cold plate can be adjusted by using this secondary jet plate. The EK-Quantum Vector Trio RTX 2080 Ti D-RGB high-performance water block is an evolution of the EK-Vector Trio RTX that was specially designed for the MSI Gaming X Trio version of NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards.

This water block is compatible with all MSI Gaming X Trio GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards, but as always, we recommend that you refer to the EK® Cooling Configurator for a precise compatibility match.

The water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM and the VRM (voltage regulation module) as cooling liquid is channeled directly over these critical areas.

The base of the block is CNC machined out of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is CNC machined out of high-quality black POM acetal. Sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-rings.

The water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM and the VRM. These newly developed water blocks feature a redesigned cooling engine that has a larger footprint compared to the previous generation of EK® Full Cover water blocks. 

The EK® Vector Series water blocks use an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, which means that it can be used with weaker water pumps, or pumps running on low-speed settings. The jet plate and fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performances even when used in reversed flow.
