Better: Series 9420/9490 features cabinetry formed from 5/8-inch compressed wood with square-edge corners and a laminate finish with a solid fiberboard back for strength and rigidity. The hardboard shelves form letter-sized compartments with up to a 15-pound capacity and can be adjusted or removed to increase the height size of the individual compartments for storage of books, three-ring binders, or personal mementos. The 16- or 14-compartment versions include a metal rod adapter to store and organize CDs in the bottom two compartments.
