I purchased two of these, first one I opened started up fine, second one has a distinct "ticking" noise coming from the top left corner of the keyboard. Ive been trying to deal with HP to get a case number and details on how to return my product for repair. Conversation with warranty has been extremely painful, and I believe they have forgotten about me on hold. I will think twice about purchasing any HP product again due to their poor customer service.

I recently purchased this laptop from an outside source(sorry Amazon)and I LOVE it! The keyboard is easy to type on, the touch screen a cool feature and the size is perfect. This is my first new laptop in years. The Windows 8 takes some time to get used to but once you unpin all the stuff you don't need it's quite easy to figure out.

Computer crashed, had no choice but to call HP customer service.Over one hour on the phone and I was told I would have to pay $12-$15 for a recovery disc.......That is not customer service, it is customer extortion.

First, I hate Windows 8! It completely sucks. It is light, at about 4.5 lbs., but is quite slow. My 7 year old HP is faster. To me the touch screen is a PIA, a mouse is faster, and easier. I will be returning this unit, and going with a more conventional laptop, no touch screen, and with a mouse.
