Versa-Pods™ are constructed of thick, textured plastic for durability. Every pair of Versa-Pods™ includes self-tapping screws, wire-lead grommets, poly-fill, and installation instructions. These pods are small enough to fit just about anywhere…not just Jeeps, but pretty much any car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, boat or UTV. So you can move them from one vehicle to the next…money well spent. We look at the Versa-Pods™ as more of a universal pair of speaker pods rather than being only for Jeepers (although they were created with Jeeps in mind). The unique shape of the pods and their flat bottom allow fitment in a lot of little nooks all over a vehicle’s interior and can really enhance your current audio spectrum. Versa-Pods™ are mirror images of each other, one ‘left’ and one ‘right’. If you can’t get one of the pods to fit where you want, try the other pod in the same spot and it just may work! Jeep CJ’s, YJ, TJ & JK Wranglers are all great for incorporating a pair of Versa-Pods™. You may find that you don’t need to use the self-tapping screws that are included…you may wish to use other mediums to attach the pods, such as different screws, or perhaps Velcro®, double-sided tape, maybe Loc-Tite® adhesive caulk. All of these can also work, depending on your specific needs. Just clean the necessary sides of the Versa-Pods™ with rubbing alcohol first to ensure the best bond to the plastic! *Some 4” speakers with very large magnets (almost the same size as the speaker cones themselves) may not fit in Versa-Pods™ because they may hit the interior flat-bottom wall- a rarity, but it can happen. Designed for Wrangler JK Unlimited owners who upgrade their stock audio system, JKU-Pods provide an array of choices, accepting 6.5” or 6.75” speakers and either coaxial or component systems. Properly angled for listening and protection from the elements, JKU-Pods mount easily to the factory sport cage with included specialty screws. That’s right, no modifications are done to the cage or padding… the pods mount right over top of the factory configuration! Each pod has a concealed wire-lead hole to hide speaker wires as they exit the pod and slip under the roll bar cover. JKU-Pods are offered empty to add your own speakers or come complete with Kicker® 6.75” component speakers. Either version arrives with pre-cut woofer mounting holes ready to accept either 6.5” or 6.75” speakers. However, tweeter holes are pre-cut only in JKU-Pods purchased with Kicker components included. Having the tweeter holes uncut in the ‘pods only’ version, allows you to cut the correct sized holes for your specific component tweeters or leave them uncut to use coaxial speakers. If purchasing JKU-Pods with Kicker components, they are rated at 100 watts RMS per side and the polypropylene woofers have ribbed, UV treated surrounds. The titanium dome tweeters have three level selections for dialing in the perfect amount of higher frequencies. Component system crossovers can be mounted inside the pods or elsewhere in the vehicle. JKU-Pods fit all ’07-’16 Wrangler JK Unlimited models with hard and/or soft tops. Self-tapping screws with Climaseal® finish, black hex caps, rubber grommets, poly-fill and detailed instructions with photos are included with every pair of pods. JKU-Pods will not fit any of the 2-door JK Wranglers.
